Constellation Preview Release 0.1

After about a year of development, around 3000 commits and 500 merge requests, we are happy to announce Constellation version 0.1, named Crux. Feature releases of the framework are going to be named after IAU designated constellations, in ascending order according to their solid angle.

Constellation Hackathon in Hamburg

We’ve made some great progress in the months since our first one-week Hackathon in Lund. Now it’s time to get together again for a second Hackathon in Hamburg, this time focussing on documentation, a graphical user interface and first concrete satellite implementations. Presentation & Live Demo @ BTTB12

Today, we presented a first prototype of Constellation at the 12th Beam Telescopes & Test Beams Workshop in Edinburgh. The presentation included a live demo of some first components such as network discovery, logging and satellite control.

Constellation Hackathon in Lund

After a series of zoom meetings to exchange on our dreams and hopes for the new Constellation framework, we just concluded a week-long Hackathon in Lund. Our goal was to discuss and develop the system concepts and communication protocols - which we did, even up to some first implementations in code!
